1#THE RULE OF THIRDS
This week, our main focus is to work on our composition skills-more importantly the rule of thrds concept. The rule of thirds is an easy way for beginning photographers to improve the composition of their photographs. It is a very simple rule to grasp and can instantly turn some of those boring photos into something much more interesting and visually pleasant. In the rule of thirds, photos are divided into thirds with two imaginary lines vertically and two lines horizontally making three columns, three rows, and nine sections in the images.(3x3 grid)
IN DEPTH ANALYSIS
The title and phototgrapher of this image is unkown to me as I found it on the app: pinterest and wasn't able to find the photographer. However from what I can tell it was created around the year 2014. This is because the man in the focal point of the image (which is in the left side of the image) is holding a modern phone. The photograph's composition when the rule of thids is applied divides the image into 3 main components: where the man is sitting on the bench, the blank space from the floor and the public in the background. The techniques used here are composition, editing and most likely a faster shutter speed.
SHOOT PLAN
After looking at the image I found and similar images to it, I intend to create my own images that focus on composition, specifically the Rule of Thirds in the topic of Street Photography. To be able to re-create the image I did my analysis on I'm choosing to take my own images in Bath city centre-This is because I want the public to be in my images. To start of the sub-topic of street photography, i plan to take my images with my iPhone 6S, so that I can get used to being able to photograph in public.
EDITING
I have selected my 3 favourite images from the shoot and edited them all in a smilar way. I made them all monochrome by reducing the colour however added more contrast to add more depth into the image.

2#FAST AND SLOW SHUTTER SPEED
In week two of our new project, our focus is slow and fast shutter speed. Shutter speed is the length of time your camera shutter is open, exposing light onto the camera sensor. Essentially, it’s how long your camera spends taking a photo. This has a few important effects in how your images will appear. To Begin with I'm going to going to start with slow shutter speed.
